Chakras, and Loving Care: A Holistic Guide for Pet Parents

As devoted pet parents, we’re always searching for ways to deepen our connection with our furry companions and support their overall well‑being. We pay close attention to nutrition, exercise, and emotional comfort — yet one area often overlooked is their energetic and muscular health, which many believe can profoundly influence a pet’s quality of life.

Understanding your pet’s chakras can open a new pathway of connection, communication, and care. When paired with gentle massage, this knowledge becomes a loving tool that helps your pet feel grounded, safe, and emotionally supported. And as always, when a situation becomes complex or concerning, a veterinarian should be your first point of guidance.

What Are Chakras in Animals?

Just like humans, animals are believed to have a network of energy centers, often described as vortices of subtle energy that influence physical, emotional, and behavioral well‑being. These centers help regulate how energy moves through the body — shaping instinct, perception, comfort, and balance.

Animals share the seven primary chakras found in humans, running along the spine from the base of the tail (Root Chakra) to the top of the head (Crown Chakra).

Where the Chakras Are Located and Main Stones

All primary chakras in animals align along the backbone:

Root Chakra— base of the tail

Red Jasper, Black Tourmaline, Garnet, and Hematite

Throat Chakra — base of the neck

Lapis Lazuli, Aquamarine, and Sodalite

Sacral Chakra — lower back

Carnelian, Orange Calcite, and Citrine

Third Eye Chakra — forehead

    • Amethyst, Labradorite, and Sodalite

Solar Plexus Chakra — mid back

Citrine, Tiger’s Eye, and Pyrite

Crown Chakra —top of the head

Amethyst, Labradorite, and Sodalite

Heart Chakra — upper back

    • Rose Quartz, Green Aventurine, and Jade

Brachial Chakras / Bud Chakra

Animals have one unique and deeply meaningful chakra: the Brachial Chakra. Associated with trust and connection, it is considered the gateway to an animal’s chakra system—the place where they first sense and respond to your energy.
